This blog is a place where a group of friends discusses halakhic issues. Although we are rooted in the traditional sources, we have scientifically critical attitudes toward these sources, and many of us bring these critical attitudes with us when we pasken. (We are paskening only for ourselves, and our rulings here are not to be considered authoritative pesaq. Only one of us has rabbinic ordination, though one more of our number is expecting to receive it very soon.)
